System Requirements

Ideate BIMLink runs on Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, and Revit Structure for both 32- and 64-bit approved platforms. Microsoft Remote Desktop and other virtualized platforms such as Citrix and VMware are only supported by the network version.

Ideate BIMLink is launched from the Add-Ins Tab on the Ideate Software panel (except as noted below for version 2011).

Ideate BIMLink 2011 is launched in Revit from the Add-Ins Tab / Extension Manager / External extensions – Ideate Software – Ideate BIMLink

  • Operation of Ideate BIMLink 2011 requires Autodesk Revit Extension Manager, which is included with Autodesk Revit Subscription.
  • Extensions for Revit 2011 must be installed first. Extensions, which are part of the Subscription Advantage Packs, can be downloaded from the Autodesk Subscription website.
